Loading/Unloading
During the EMU Housing designated move in times, you can use any of the closest meter parking locations
for 30-minutes to load/unload your vehicles, without paying the meter. Once the 30-minutes has ended you
will need to move your vehicle to one of the below parking options or risk getting a valid citation.
Additional Parking Needs
Students:
Fall 2024 Student Parking Permits are available for purchase as of 9:00pm on August 11th and are valid
for parking on campus starting on August 12th at 12:00am.
If you will be keeping a vehicle on campus for the semester and have not purchased a parking permit for Fall semester please click HERE to purchase you 2024 Fall permit. Students who have purchased their Fall 2024 Parking Permit can move their vehicle to one of the lots your permit type
can park in.
If you will not have a vehicle on campus for the semester but have one for move in follow the instructions below for parking.
Friends/Family:
If you need to park on campus for more than the 30-minute loading/unloading, you will need to move your
vehicle to one of the below paid parking options.
Gated Guest Parking Lots: There are 5 gated guest lots located throughout campus. To park in these lots,
you will need to pull up to the entry kiosk and pull a ticket to enter the lot, when you are ready to exit the
lot, you will scan the ticket pulled at entry at the exit kiosk and pay using a credit card. The current rate for
guest lot parking is $2 an hour. To see where the closest Guest Lot is to your location please click here to view the map. Guest lots are purple on the map.
Hourly Text-to-Park: Located in Snow Lot and North Lot on Campus. To utilize this parking, you can do one of the following.
1)Text code MI008 for Snow Lot, MI004 for North Lot. or MI005 for Westview Lot to 53242 and follow the texted instruction to
purchase parking in advance of parking.
2) Scan the QR code on signage in the lot you are parking in and follow the instructions to
purchase parking in advance of parking.
The rate for Text-to-Park is $2 an hour plus service fee. There is posted signage in each lot that also included the above information.
Full Day Event Parking: Located in Ford Commuter Lot. For the rate of $10 plus reservations fees you can
park in Ford Commuter Lot by scanning a QR code and paying in advance for parking. The QR code will be
posted on multiple signs throughout Ford Commuter Lot and is also included below.
Map of Parking:
On the map below parking locations highlighted in yellow are the text-to-park parking locations. The lot
highlighted orange is the $10 full day Ford Commuter Lot.
Parking Citations:
Anyone who does not follow the above guidelines will be subject to receiving a valid parking citation.
If you purchase parking but do not park in the lot that you purchased parking for you will be subject to receiving a valid citation.
Parking citations can be given to vehicles parked in the same location every 4 hours.
