Commuter Permit

A Summer Commuter Permit is available to students not living in university housing.

Summer Commuter Permits are valid from 5/1/2024 to 8/31/2024.

Holders of this Permit may ONLY park in the locations listed below under "Where can I park?".

Vehicles covered by a valid Commuter permit can only park on campus between the hours of 6am and 2am. Overnight parking is not covered by a commuter permit. 

Once your purchase is completed, your license plate(s) will be valid in our system and you will be able to park in the proper designated lot.

You may have up to two license plates registered to each permit. Only one license plate associated with the permit may be on campus at one time, or both plates are subject to receive citations. 

Only vehicles utilized by the permit holder may be registered to the permit.  Permits can not be shared.

Physical Hang Tags are not required with our License Plate Recognition system.

Where can I park?

There are a total of 12 parking lots Commuters can use for daytime parking: 

  • Ann Street Lot 
  • Fletcher Overflow spaces in Cornell Lot 
  • Ford Commuter Lot 
  • Green Lot (Commuter Rows and any row in the Northern half of Green Lot closest to Huron River Dr.) 
  • Hoyt Lot 
  • Main Campus Parking Structure (closed until further notice) 
  • Mayhew Lot 
  • North Lot 
  • Oakwood Lot 
  • Pease Lot A-1 
  • Pine Grove Lot 
  • Science Complex Lot 
  • Student Center A-1 Lot 
  • Tower Lot (closed for construction)

 There are an additional 8 Staff/Faculty parking lots Commuters can use ONLY AFTER 5PM: 

  • Bowman - Roosevelt Lot 
  • Bowen Staff Lot 
  • Briggs Staff Lot 
  • Campus Wellness Center Lot 
  • Ford Staff Lot 
  • Normal Lot 
  • Pease Staff Lot 
  • Sill Lot
